The Lusty Brain

Exhibit A

And here we see
the lusty brain
that hungers, not
for pheromone or flesh

but rather seeks
the tantalizing bit
that slips precisely
in the waiting gap

to join two thoughts
into a single form
and yield a lens
through which

the chaos of the world
takes on the comforting
impossible shape
of human reason

  2. That last stanza is amazing. Really fantastic: “impossible shape / of human reason.”
