The Lost Key

So much of our perceived pain is not objective truth, not when observed from the safe space outside our wounded minds.

There is a kind of experience that bends the lens of our consciousness in such a way as to bring us to believe that we only exist when we are awash in feelings, and that the only safe way to fill ourselves with feeling is to hold ourselves apart and wrap ourselves in pain.

How sad to be trapped in chains we forged ourselves.

How sad that sadness, rage, greed, or destruction are the only paths we have mastered.

How sad that we have always had the key, and have not found where we hid it so long ago.

  1. Yes I agree. Life is too short and getting shorter to not find your “key”.
